These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, scheduling system, intake forms, communication tools, and counseling services provided by Restored Counsel LLC (“Restored Counsel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms apply to all website visitors, counselees, and individuals who submit information or participate in counseling services.

By accessing or using our website or counseling services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the website and services.

1. Who We Are

Restored Counsel LLC is a Christ-centered biblical counseling ministry and counseling practice offering support to individuals, couples, and families through biblically grounded guidance.

Restored Counsel LLC provides biblical counseling from a Christian worldview. Our services focus on spiritual guidance, discipleship, and applying Scripture to life situations. Biblical counseling is distinct from licensed mental health treatment.

2. Eligibility and User Responsibilities

By using our website or submitting information through our forms, you affirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old, or are a parent/guardian submitting information on behalf of a minor.
• You agree to provide accurate, truthful information when submitting forms or communicating with us.
• You will not misuse the website, interfere with operations, or attempt unauthorized access.

3. Counseling Services

Restored Counsel LLC provides biblical counseling, which is pastoral in nature and rooted in the authority of Scripture. Our counseling is not state-licensed mental health therapy. You acknowledge and understand that:

• Counseling is offered as a pastoral and ministerial service rooted in Scripture, not as clinical or psychological treatment.
• No counselor, including Pastor Jeremy Wallace, is acting as a licensed mental health provider.
• Counseling outcomes are not guaranteed; you remain responsible for your choices and well-being.
• We may recommend outside professional care when appropriate.
• You understand that biblical counseling may involve prayer, Scripture reading, and discussion of spiritual matters.

4. Fees, Payments, and Scheduling

Restored Counsel LLC provides biblical counseling on a fee basis. Fees for counseling sessions and related services will be communicated to you during the intake and scheduling process.

By scheduling an appointment, you understand and agree that:

• A valid payment method (such as a credit or debit card) may be required to reserve your session.
• Your payment method may be securely stored by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe) for the purpose of billing current and future sessions.
• Your card will normally be charged after each completed counseling session, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
• You agree to provide timely notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
• Missed appointments or late cancellations may be charged in accordance with the counseling and financial policies you receive during intake.

5. User Accounts, Forms, and Submitted Information

When you submit information through our website—including intake forms, contact forms, or the Counseling Assistant platform—you agree that:

• You are providing information voluntarily and truthfully.
• You grant Restored Counsel permission to store, review, and use this information solely for counseling purposes.
• We may contact you regarding scheduling, updates, counseling sessions, or administrative needs.

6. Communications Consent (SMS & Email)

By providing your mobile number or email address, you consent to receive communications from Restored Counsel LLC, including:

• Appointment confirmations and reminders
• Intake updates
• Scheduling changes
• Important counseling-related notifications

You may reply STOP to opt out of SMS at any time.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your contact information.

7. Not Medical, Legal, or Professional Advice

All information, resources, and counseling offered by Restored Counsel LLC are for spiritual and biblical guidance. They are not intended as:

• medical advice
• mental health diagnosis or treatment
• legal or financial advice

We strongly encourage you to seek appropriate licensed or professional services for medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, or financial concerns. Biblical counseling is not intended to replace professional care.

8. Confidentiality

We take confidentiality seriously and will protect your information to the fullest extent allowed by our biblical convictions and applicable law. However, Restored Counsel LLC is not a HIPAA-covered entity, and confidentiality is not absolute.

While we strive to maintain confidentiality to the highest degree, we are not bound by HIPAA. Information shared may be disclosed if:

• you express intent to harm yourself or others,
• there is suspected abuse of a minor, elderly person, or vulnerable adult,
• we are legally required to respond to a court order or lawful request,
• you provide written consent to share information.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Restored Counsel website—including text, videos, graphics, branding, and downloadable resources—is the copyrighted property of Restored Counsel LLC unless stated otherwise. You agree not to copy, distribute, or reproduce content without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Restored Counsel LLC and its counselors, staff, representatives, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages,
• decisions you make based on counseling or website content,
• losses arising from website downtime or data interruptions,
• actions you take or fail to take following counseling sessions.

By using our website or counseling services, you agree that Restored Counsel LLC is not responsible for any outcomes resulting from your decisions, actions, or interpretations of counseling guidance.

11. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the website or counseling services at our discretion, including cases of inappropriate behavior, harassment, or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within Michigan.
